Armoured Corps Centre and School

The Indian Cavalry has a proud heritage and a glorious history with some of its older regiments tracing their origins to as far back as 1773. Mechanization of the Indian Army began in 1938, and a need was felt for formal institutionalized training for the Armoured Corps. The Cavalry and now the Armoured Corps  has its alma mater as the Armoured Corps Centre and School; which is the seat of learning for all disciplines of mechanized warfare.

Role

  • Impart basic military training for Armoured Corps recruits.
  • Train all Armoured Corps personnel in the tactical and technical aspects of mechanized warfare
