The School is responsible for imparting training in intelligence, security, counter intelligence and allied subjects. The school motto Sada Satark, meaning Always Vigilant, is very apt, as is the school's formation sign which signifies the following:-

  • The black shield represents the security and counter intelligence activities.
  • The silver rays represent the intelligence knowledge concerning the combat intelligence, security, counter intelligence and signal and electronic intelligence.

Role

  • To impart training in intelligence, counter intelligence and security aspects to officers, JCO's and other ranks of all arms.
  • To impart training to selected personnel from the other two Services, Para Military Forces and CPO forces.
  • To impart training on security aspects to personnel from friendly foreign countries.
