Hang Gliding and Micro

Hang Gliding was introduced in the Corps in 1978. Powered hang gliders were introduced in the team in 1985. A power hang gliding cum Microlight Rally was organised by the Corps of Signals from Patiala to Bagdogra as a grand finale in Mar 1996. After a breathtaking nine days of flying in rough weather from Patiala , the flyers display team of Aero - sports reached Bagdogra to a tumultuous welcome. Hang Gliding courses conducted at Deolali. Micro Light Flying courses conducted at Mhow and Gaya. 

White Water Rafting Expedition

White water rafting expedition was introduced in the year 1989. The first expedition was conducted on Sep 89. To make the event a unique one, it was chosen to raft on the mighty River Indus, flowing through the difficult terrain of Ladakh on which no one had dared to attempt rafting before. The first international white water rafting rally billed as 'The Olympics of White Water Rafting' was organised on the Nantahala River in the North Carolina State of USA , in Mar 1990. The Indian team participated in the event which consisted of three

Army officers. Fifty two teams from different countries participated in the rally. After six days of intense competition the Indian team secured 25th position. Adventure courses are conducted at Raiwala, Burdong, Belgaum, Along and Karu.
