The Corps made its debut in Adventure Sports with the White Water River Rafting Expedition in Feb 1990. Though a late starter, the Corps soon caught up with others by successfully organising a series of expeditions in all terrains in quick succession.
The indomitable spirit of the Corps personnel left their footmark in the spheres of Kayaking, Hot Air Ballooning and Ocean Sailing. The rapids on the river Ganges moulded the spirit of the rafters while the Kayaks of the Corps steered clear of the Alaknanda river with consummate skill, the azure sky embraced our Hot Air Ballooning progenies while the Arabian Sea cradled our Sailors with love and compassion. Enthused by the men folk, the Women Officers of the corps ventured into the deep recesses of the Pindari Glacier to celebrate the grandeur of the Himalayas. Adventure Sports has finally come to stay with the corps as its second nature.
The Corps spirit cherishes to revel with all the mundane, the mighty and the powerful elements of nature; be it the insurmountable heights of the Himalayas or the depths of the Ocean or the tortuous sand dunes of the Desert or the labyrinthine mountain folds of the Vindhyas. In the coming years more such adventures are planned for the Corps personnel.
