Conditions of Eligibility and Eligible Categories
(a) All Armed Forces personnel who were borne on the effective strength of the Armed Forces on the 5 Aug 65 and had rendered service for 180 days or more on that date. (b) Personnel of the units of Para-military forces as were under the operational control of the Army and had rendered service for 180 days or more on the 5 Aug 65. (c) Personnel of the units of Para-military forces who were operationally committed and were in the areas which qualify for Samar Seva Star 1965, subject to fulfilling the condition regarding length of service as (b) above.
