Indigenisation Committees (ICs)
 

Indigenisation activities will be undertaken by ICs of Directorate of Indigenisation. The functions of ICs are as under:-

(a)        To attend the IC Sub-Committee Meeting at Ordnance Depots for earmarking source of indigenisation.

(b)        Scrutiny of Draft Depot Lists (DDLs).

(c)        Technical vetting and scrutiny of drawings/specifications.

(d)        Floating of tender enquiries.

(e)        Sorting out all technical queries.

(f)        Vetting and examination of quotation and evaluation thereof and sort out all technical queries arising from the quotations.

(g)        Preparation of comparative statement of tenders.

(h)        Vetting and scrutiny of import indents from indigenous angle.

(j)         Maintenance of firm's performance registers.

(k)        Preparation of Draft Supply Orders.

(l)         Amendments to supply orders, if any.

(m)       Progress of cases from the time of placement of supply orders to finalization of supplies.

(n)        In addition ICs will be made dynamic by having a proactive approach in working out the futuristic requirement of spares for recently inducted imported equipment. These arisings will be worked out based on equipment appreciation carried out by HQ Technical Group.
