Four DSWs have been established as follows:-

(a)        DSW (Vehicles) at Dehu Road, Pune.
(b)        DSW (Engineering Eqpt) at Aundh Camp, Pune.
(c)        DSW(Electronics) at Bangalore.
(d)        DSW (Weapon) at Jabalpur.

These DSWs are co-located with DGQA Controllerates i.e CQA (SV), Dehu Road, CQA(EE), Aundh Camp, CQA(L), Bangalore and CQA (W), Jabalpur.
 
Role of DSW.The role of each DSWs will be to perform tasks related to indigenisation of their discipline. Functions to be performed by DSWs are as under:-

(a)        To take part in Technical Committee Sub-Committee meetings and assist in selection of items for indigenisation.
(b)        Development of drawings and finalization of technical specification.
(c)        Maintain a library of drawings.
(d)        Render advice to inspection agency and monitor the progress of development of indigenized items with the manufacturers.
(e)        Preparation of quality assurance instructions
